أخْبَرْناهُ أبُو عَلِيٍّ الحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الحافِظُ، أنْبَأ سَهْلُ بْنُ أحْمَدَ بْنِ عُثْمانَ الواسِطِيُّ، مِن كِتابِهِ، ثنا يَحْيى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، ثنا المُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمانَ، قالَ: قالَ أبُو سُفْيانَ سُلَيْمانُ بْنُ سُفْيانَ المَدَنِيُّ: عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ، قالَ:
«لا يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ أُمَّتِي عَلى ضَلالَةٍ أبَدًا، ويَدُ اللَّهِ عَلى الجَماعَةِ هَكَذا، فاتَّبِعُوا السَّوادَ الأعْظَمَ، فَإنَّهُ مَن شَذَّ شَذَّ فِي النّارِ».
