✧ We asked Aisha, "What used to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite during the Witr prayer?" She replied, "In the first Rak'ah, he used to recite Surah Al-A'la (the Most High), in the second Rak'ah, Surah Al-Kafirun (the Disbelievers), and in the third Rak'ah, Surah Al-Ikhlas (the Unity) along with Surah Al-Falaq (the Dawn) and Surah An-Nas (Mankind)." Sa'id ibn Kathir ibn 'Ufair, who is a narrating authority among the people of Egypt, mentioned this Hadith and narration. I requested it at the time when I was writing a book about Witr prayer, but I did not find it. Later, I found it after Adh-Dhahabi stopped commenting on it in his summary.
