حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَرْعَرَةَ قَالَ
لَمَّا قُتِلَ عُثْمَانُ ذَعَرَنِي ذَلِكَ ذُعْرًا شَدِيدًا فَأَتَيْتُ عَلِيًّا فَبَيْنَا أَنَا عِنْدَهُ إِذْ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ مَا {الْجِوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ} [التكوير 16] قَالَ الْكَوَاكِبُ

✧ When 'Uthman was killed, that terrified me greatly, so I came to 'Ali. While I was with him, a man asked him: What are {the running ones, the hidden} [al-Takwīr 16]? He said: "The stars."
