أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ سَوْدَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«يُبْعَثُ النَّاسُ حُفَاةً عُرَاةً غُرْلًا يُلْجِمُهُمُ الْعَرَقُ وَيَبْلُغُ شَحْمَةَ الْأُذُنِ» قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاسَوْءَتَاهُ يَنْظُرُ بَعْضُنَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ قَالَ «شُغِلَ النَّاسُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ» وَتَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ {يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ}

Translation

✧ “People will be resurrected barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised. Sweat will bridle them and reach the lobes of their ears.” She said: I said: “O Messenger of Allah, how terrible! Some of us will look at one another.” He said: “People will be too preoccupied for that.” Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: {On the Day a man will flee from his brother, and his mother and his father, and his wife and his children. For each one of them that Day will be a matter occupying him.}
