✧ From Ibn Abbas regarding the saying of Allah ﷻ: {On the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will run before them and on their right; they will say, ‘Our Lord, perfect for us our light’} [al-Tahrim 8]. He said, “There is no one among the monotheists but will be given a light on the Day of Resurrection. As for the hypocrite, his light will be extinguished, and the believer will be fearful because of what he sees of the extinguishing of the hypocrite’s light, so he will say, {‘Our Lord, perfect for us our light’} [al-Tahrim 8].”
