حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَدْرٍ شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ
النَّاسُ عَلَى ثَلَاثِ مَنَازِلَ فَمَضَتْ مِنْهُمُ اثْنَتَانِ وَبَقِيَتْ وَاحِدَةٌ فَأَحْسَنُ مَا أَنْتُمْ كَائِنُونَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بِهَذِهِ الْمَنْزِلَةِ الَّتِي بَقِيَتْ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {لِلْفُقَرَاءِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ} [الحشر 8] الْآيَةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَهَذِهِ مَنْزِلَةٌ وَقَدْ مَضَتْ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَالَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُوا الدَّارَ وَالْإِيمَانَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ} الْآيَةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَهَذِهِ مَنْزِلَةٌ وَقَدْ مَضَتْ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَالَّذِينَ جَاءُوا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ} الْآيَةَ قَالَ فَقَدْ مَضَتْ هَاتَانِ الْمَنْزِلَتَانِ وَبَقِيَتْ هَذِهِ الْمَنْزِلَةُ فَأَحْسَنُ مَا أَنْتُمْ كَائِنُونَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بِهَذِهِ الْمَنْزِلَةِ الَّتِي بَقِيَتْ
Translation

✧ People are on three stations; two of them have passed and one remains. The best state you can be upon is to be upon this remaining station. Then he recited: {For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and properties.} [Al-Hashr 8] Then he said: 'These are the emigrants, and this is a station that has passed.' Then he recited: {And those who had established the home and faith before them.} Then he said: 'These are the Helpers, and this is a station that has passed.' Then he recited: {And those who came after them, saying, 'Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith.'} He said: 'Those two stations have passed, and this station remains. The best state you can be upon is to be upon this remaining station.'
