✧ The Explanation of Surah al-Hashr

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ ثُمَّ تَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ {مَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا} [الحشر 7]

✧ From Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas that they both testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade gourds, green jars, glazed jars, and varnished jars. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: {And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it.} [Al-Hashr 7]
