✧ Ibn 'Abbas said to me: Do you know the vastness of Hell? I said: No. He said: Indeed, by Allah, you do not know that between the lobe of one of their ears and his shoulder is a journey of seventy years, valleys of pus and blood. I said to him: Rivers? He said: No, rather valleys. Then he said: Do you know the vastness of Hell? I said: No. He said: Indeed, by Allah, you do not know. 'A'isha told me that she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the saying of Allah Almighty: {And the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand} [Az-Zumar: 67]. I said: Where will the people be on that day, O Messenger of Allah? He said: 'On the bridge of Hell.'
