✧ While 'A'isha bint Talha was saying to her mother Umm Kulthum bint Abi Bakr: My father is better than your father, 'A'isha the Mother of the Believers said: Shall I not judge between you? Abu Bakr entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and he said: "O Abu Bakr, you are the freed one of Allah from the Fire." I said: From that day he was named 'Atiq (freed one). And Talha entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and he said: "You, O Talha, are among those who have fulfilled their vow." The chain is authentic, but they [Bukhari and Muslim] did not record it; rather Ishaq b. Yahya b. Talha is abandoned, as Ahmad said.
