✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions arrived in Madinah and the Ansar sheltered them, the Arabs shot at them from a single bow. They would not spend the night except with weapons, nor rise in the morning except with them. They said: Do you think we will live until we spend the night safe and secure, fearing none but Allah? So it was revealed: {Allah has promised those of you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors in the land, as He made successors those before them, and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has approved for them, and that He will surely change their state, after their fear, to security} [al-Nur 55] up to {And whoever disbelieves after that} [al-Nur 55], meaning by the blessing, {then those are the defiantly disobedient} [Al 'Imran 82].
