✧ The Interpretation/Exegesis of Surah al-Mu'minun

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ أُنَيْفٍ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ بَابَنُوسَ قَالَ

قُلْنَا لِعَائِشَةَ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَيْفَ كَانَ خَلْقُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَتْ «كَانَ خُلُقُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْقُرْآنُ» ثُمَّ قَالَتْ تَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؟ اقْرَأْ {قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ} [المؤمنون 1] حَتَّى بَلَغَ الْعَشْرَ فَقَالَتْ هَكَذَا كَانَ خُلُقُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

Translation

✧ We said to 'A'ishah: O Mother of the Believers, how was the character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? She said: "The character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the Qur'an." Then she said: Do you recite Surat al-Mu'minun? Recite: {The believers have certainly succeeded} [Al-Mu'minun 1] until you reach the tenth verse. Then she said: "Such was the character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح
