✧ I said to him regarding His saying, Exalted is He, {And the camels and cattle We have made for you among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up} [al-Ḥajj 36]. He said, "When you want to slaughter a camel, make it stand, then say: Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, from You and to You, then mention the name, then slaughter it." I said, "And do I say that for the sacrificial animal (uḍḥiyah)?" He said, "And for the sacrificial animal."
