حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو جَنَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي طَلْحَةُ بْنُ مُصَرِّفٍ

أَنَّ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ أَتَى صَفْوَانَ بْنَ عَسَّالٍ فَقَالَ «مَا غَدَا بِكَ إِلَيَّ؟» قَالَ غَدَا بِي الْتِمَاسُ الْعِلْمِ قَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَصْنَعُ مَا صَنَعْتَ لَهُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا وَضَعَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَجْنِحَتَهَا رِضًى بِمَا يَصْنَعُ»

✧ "Indeed, he does not do what you have done for him, except that the angels have placed their wings over him in satisfaction of what he does. And we have mentioned in this Hadith of what is not weakened, as this Hadith has been narrated by a group and another group has stopped at it, and the one who narrated it is more reliable, and the addition from them is accepted."
