حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالُوا ثنا شَيْبَانُ ثنا الصَّعْقُ بْنُ حَزْنٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَسَّالٍ الْمُرَادِيُّ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ «وَقَدْ أَوْقَفَهُ أَبُو جَنَابٍ الْكَلْبِيُّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ وَأَبُو جَنَابٍ مَنْ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِرِوَايَتِهِ فِي هَذَا الْكِتَابِ» خالفه شيبان

✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he mentioned the hadith. Abu Janab al-Kalbi stopped it at Talhah b. Musarrif, from Zirr b. Hubaysh, but Abu Janab is one whose narration is not used as proof in this book. Shu'ban differed from him.
