✧ From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying, Exalted is He: {And mention in the Book Ibrahim. Indeed, he was a man of truth, a prophet} [Maryam 41]. He said: "The prophets were from the Children of Israel except ten: Nuh, Salih, Hud, Lut, Shu'ayb, Ibrahim, Isma'il, Ishaq, Ya'qub, and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them all). And no prophet had two names except Israel and 'Isa: Israel is Ya'qub, and 'Isa is the Messiah."
