✧ I heard Abu Ja‘far Muhammad b. ‘Ali b. al-Husayn recite this verse {And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path} [Yunus: 25], then he said: Jabir b. ‘Abd Allah narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us one day and said, “I saw in a dream as if Jibril was at my head and Mika’il at my feet, one of them saying to his companion, ‘Strike a parable for him.’ He said to him, ‘Listen with your ear and understand with your heart: your likeness and the likeness of your ummah is that of a king who took a house, then built a home in it, then set a feast in it, then sent a messenger inviting the people to their food. Some of them responded to the messenger and some of them refused. Allah is the King, the house is Islam, the home is Paradise, and you, O Muhammad, are the messenger. Whoever responds to you enters Islam, and whoever enters Islam enters Paradise, and whoever enters Paradise eats from it.’”
