Siyāh. As for Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī, there is disagreement about him. Maʿmar and Ḥammād b. Zayd narrated it from him, and there is disagreement about Maʿmar: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated it from him, from Ayyūb, as raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ). Muḥammad b. Thawr contradicted him and narrated it from Maʿmar, from Ayyūb, as a statement of a Companion (mawqūf). Likewise Ḥammād b. Zayd narrated it from Ayyūb as mawqūf. As for ʿAbbād b. Manṣūr, there is disagreement about him. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. ʿAṭāʾ narrated it from ʿAbbād b. Manṣūr, from al-Qāsim b. Muḥammad, from ʿĀʾishah, and he erred in it. He was contradicted by al-Thawrī, Ḥammād b. Salamah, Dāwūd b. Abī Hind, Wakīʿ, ʿAbdullāh b. Bakr, Ibn ʿUlayyah, ʿAbd al-Aʿlā, ʿAbd al-Ṣamad and Ḥajjāj b. Ḥajjāj, who narrated it from ʿAbbād, from al-Qāsim, from Abū Hurayrah. Ḥammād b. Zayd narrated it from ʿAbbād b. Manṣūr, from al-Qāsim, as his own statement (mawqūf). Yūnus b. ʿUbayd narrated it from a companion of his, who is ʿAbbād b. Manṣūr, from al-Qāsim, from Abū Hurayrah; Muʿtamir b. Sulaymān said this from him. Likewise Ibn ʿAwn narrated it from al-Qāsim, from Abū Hurayrah; ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. al-Ḥasan was alone in narrating it from him. There is disagreement about Thābit al-Bunānī: ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAbd al-Wārith narrated it from Ḥammād b. Salamah, from Thābit, from al-Qāsim, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Sulaymān b. Ḥarb contradicted him and narrated it from Ḥammād, from Thābit, from al-Qāsim, as a mursal report. It was also said that Thābit al-Bunānī heard it from ʿAbbād b. Manṣūr narrating it from al-Qāsim. There is disagreement about Hishām b. Ḥassān: ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī narrated it from Hishām, from al-Qāsim, from Abū Hurayrah, as marfūʿ. Wahb b. Jarīr contradicted him and narrated it from Hishām b. Ḥassān, from a companion of his, who is said to be ʿAbbād b.
