✧ ʿAbdullāh was brought an udder, and he said to the people, “Come near,” and they began eating it. One man among them was in a corner, and ʿAbdullāh said, “Come near,” but he said, “I do not want it.” He said, “Why?” He said, “Because I have forbidden the udder [for myself].” ʿAbdullāh said, “This is from the steps of Satan.” Then ʿAbdullāh said: {O you who believe, do not forbid the good things which Allah has made lawful for you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like the transgressors} [Quran 5:87]. “Come near, eat, and expiate your oath, for this is from the steps of Satan.”
