أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزِّبْرِقَانِ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
كَانَ أَخَوَانِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَكَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَالْآخَرُ يَحْتَرِفُ فَشَكَا الْمُحْتَرِفُ أَخَاهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَعَلَّكَ تُرْزَقُ بِهِ»

✧ There were two brothers in the time of the Prophet ﷺ. One of them would come to the Prophet ﷺ, and the other would work for a living. The working brother complained about his brother to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "Perhaps you are provided for because of him."
