أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ قَاسِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ السَّيَّارِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْغَزَّالُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَنْبَأَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

نَزَلَ بِالنَّجَاشِيِّ عَدُوٌّ مِنْ أَرْضِهِمْ فَجَاءَهُ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا نُحِبُّ أَنْ نَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى نُقَاتِلَ مَعَكَ وَتَرَى جَرْأَتَنَا وَنَجْزِيكَ بِمَا صَنَعْتَ مَعَنَا فَقَالَ لَا دَوَاءَ بِنُصْرَةِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ دَوَاءٍ بِنُصْرَةِ النَّاسِ قَالَ وَفِيهِ نَزَلَتْ {وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ} [آل عمران 199]

✧ An enemy from their land descended upon the Negus. The emigrants came to him and said: We would love to march out against them to fight alongside you, so that you may see our courage and we may repay you for what you have done for us. He said: No. The remedy by Allah's help is better than the remedy by people's help. He said: And concerning him it was revealed: {And indeed, among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and what has been sent down to you and what was sent down to them, humble before Allah} [Al Imran 199].

  • «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح
