✧ Regarding the verse 'The first House established for mankind is the one at Bakkah, blessed' (Al Imran 96): Was it the first house built on earth? He said: 'No, but it was the first house in which blessing, guidance, the Station of Ibrahim, and security for whoever enters it were placed. If you wish, I will tell you how Allah built it. Allah revealed to Ibrahim: "Build Me a house on earth." He felt unable, so Allah sent down the Sakīnah, a swift wind with a head. One followed the other until it stopped, then coiled like a snake at the site of the House. Ibrahim built, raising a wall each day. When he reached the place of the Stone, he said to his son: "Bring me a stone." The son searched for a stone and brought one, but found that the Black Stone had already been set in place. The son asked: "Where did you get this?" He said: "One who does not rely on your building brought it—Jibril ﷺ brought it from heaven." Then he completed it.
