أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي بِمَرْوَ ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فِي عِرْقِ النَّسَا يَأْخُذُ أَلْيَةَ كَبْشٍ عَرَبِيٍّ لَيْسَتْ بِأَعْظَمِهَا وَلَا أَصْغَرِهَا فَيَتَقَطَّعُهَا صِغَارًا ثُمَّ يُذِيبُهَا فَيُجِيدُ إِذَابَتَهَا وَيَجْعَلُهَا ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَيَشْرَبُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ جُزْءًا عَلَى رِيقِ النَّفْسِ» قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ فَلَقَدْ أَمَرْتُ بِذَلِكَ نَاسًا ذَكَرَ عَدَدًا كَثِيرًا كُلُّهُمْ يَبْرَأُ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, regarding sciatica: 'Take the tail fat of an Arabian ram, neither the largest nor the smallest, cut it into small pieces, then melt it thoroughly, and divide it into three parts. Drink one part each day on an empty stomach.' Anas b. Sirin said: 'I prescribed that to a large number of people, and all of them were cured by the permission of Allah Almighty.'

He said: This is an error (wahm). It was narrated by al-Walīd b. Muslim, from Hishām b. Ḥassān, from Anas b. Sīrīn, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said. He said: This is a mistake with this chain. The hadith is what Ḥammād b. Salamah narrated, from Anas b. Sīrīn, from his brother Maʿbad b. Sīrīn, from a man of the Anṣār, from the Prophet ﷺ. My father said: And this is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
