✧ Regarding the words of Allah Almighty: {Have you not considered those who left their homes in thousands, fearing death?} [al-Baqarah 243]. He said: They were four thousand who left fleeing from the plague. They said: We will go to a land where there is no death. Allah said to them: 'Die,' and they died. A prophet passed by them and asked Allah to revive them, so He revived them. They are the ones of whom Allah ﷻ said: {in thousands, fearing death} [al-Baqarah 243].
