حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعَ أَبَانَ بْنَ صَالِحٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ عَرَضَتُ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ثَلَاثَ عَرَضَاتٍ أُوقِفُهُ عَلَى كُلِّ آيَةٍ أَسْأَلُهُ فِيمَا نَزَلَتْ وَكَيْفَ كَانَتَ؟ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَوْلِهِ {نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ} [البقرة 223] الْآيَةُ قَالَ

كَانَ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ يَشْرَحُونَ النِّسَاءَ شَرْحًا مُنْكَرًا حَيْثُ مَا لَقُوهُنَّ مُقْبِلَاتٍ وَمُدْبِرَاتٍ فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ تَزَوَّجُوا النِّسَاءَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَأَرَادُوهُنَّ عَلَى مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُهَاجِرَاتِ فَأَنْكَرْنَ ذَلِكَ فَشَكَيْنَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ {نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ} [البقرة 223] يَقُولُ مُقْبِلَاتٍ وَمُدْبِرَاتٍ مِنْ دُبُرِهَا بَعْدَ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِلْفَرْجِ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَإِنَّمَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قِبَلِ دُبُرِهَا فِي قُبُلِهَاعلى شرط مسلم

✧ This group of the Muhajirun used to approach women in an abominable manner, from the front and from the back, wherever they met them. When they came to Madinah, they married women from the Ansar and wanted from them what they used to do with the Muhajir women, but they rejected that and complained about it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So Allah ﷻ sent down: 'Your wives are a tilth for you, so come to your tilth however you wish' [al-Baqarah 223], meaning from the front or from the back, but only in the vagina. Ibn 'Abbas said: It was only from her back, in her front. [Al-Hakim said: It is according to the condition of Muslim]
