حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ

اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لِنَبِيِّهِ ﷺ «طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ» فَالطَّوَافُ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ هَذَا مُتَابِعٌ لِنِصْفِ الْمَتْنِ وَالنِّصْفُ الثَّانِي مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ Allah, Exalted is He, said to His Prophet ﷺ: "Purify My House for those who circumambulate, those who seclude themselves, and those who bow and prostrate." So circumambulation is before prayer. This is one part of the matn, and the second part is from the hadith of al-Qasim b. Abi Ayyub. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in al-Talkhis.
