حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَهْرَامٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ {لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ} [قريش 2]

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ recite: {For the security of Quraysh, their security for the caravan of winter and summer} [Quraysh:2].

  • «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ عَالٍ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ وَالشَّيْخَانِ لَا يَحْتَجَّانِ بِشَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ» غريب

    machine translation"This is a gharīb ḥadīth, of high rank in this chapter, and the two Shaykhs (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) do not use Shahr b. Ḥawshab as evidence." Gharīb (rare, narrated through a single route).
