✧ A woman became Muslim during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and then married. Her husband came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I became Muslim along with her, and she knew of my Islam along with her.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took her away from her other husband and returned her to her first husband.
Notes
machine translationThis hadith has a sound chain of transmission (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), and the two Shaykhs (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not include it in their collections. It is of the type about which I say that al-Bukhārī relied on ʿIkrimah as evidence and Muslim relied on Simāk. Sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
