أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو حَيَّانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ تَيْمُ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ وَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ فَقَالَ

مَا أَحَادِيثُ بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ تُحَدِّثُ بِهَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ لَهُ حَوْضًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ذَاكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَوَعَدْنَاهُ فَقَالَ كَذَبْتَ وَلَكِنَّكَ شَيْخٌ قَدْ خَرِفْتَ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْنِي وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ» وَمَا كَذَبْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

✧ What are these hadiths that have reached me from you, which you narrate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, claiming that he has a Pond in Paradise? He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us that and promised it to us." He said, "You have lied, but you are an old man who has become senile." He said, "Indeed, my two ears heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," meaning, and I heard him say: "Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire." And I have not lied about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
