✧ A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ passed by a mountain pass in which there was a spring of sweet water. Its pleasantness and beauty impressed him, and he said, “If only I were to seclude myself from people and stay in this mountain pass.” Then he said, “I will not do so until I consult the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” He mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, “Do not do it, for the station of one of you in the path of Allah is better than his prayer in his house for sixty years. Would you not love that Allah forgive you and admit you to Paradise? Raid in the path of Allah. Whoever fights in the path of Allah for the time between two milkings of a camel, Paradise becomes due for him.”
