✧ My father narrated to us: Umm Khalid bint Khalid narrated to me, she said: The Prophet ﷺ was brought some garments, among them a small black khamisah (a square cloth with markings). He said: "Who do you think I should clothe with this?" The people remained silent. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Bring me Umm Khalid." She said: So I was brought to him, and he dressed me in it with his own hand and said: "Wear it out and wear it ragged," saying it twice. He began looking at a yellow and red marking on the khamisah and saying: "O Umm Khalid, this is sana, sana." And sana in the language of Abyssinia means beautiful.
