أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّبَّاسُ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الصَّائِغُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الشَّافِعِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِيَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْعَبَّاسِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ

«الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَمَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ بِوَرِقٍ فَلْيَصْرِفْهَا بِذَهَبٍ وَمَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ بِذَهَبٍ فَلْيَصْرِفْهَا بِوَرِقٍ وَالصَّرْفُ هَا وَهَا»

✧ "Dinar for dinar and dirham for dirham, with no excess between them. Whoever has a need for silver should exchange it for gold, and whoever has a need for gold should exchange it for silver, and the exchange is hand to hand."
