✧ As for the narration of Ismail b. Ja'far b. Abi Kathir...

أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْهَيْثَمِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ سَمْعَانَ بْنِ مُشَنَّجٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَرَّاقُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ سَمْعَانَ بْنِ مُشَنَّجٍ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ وَلِمُعْتَذَرٍ أَنْ يُعَلِّلَ رِوَايَةَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ وَفِرَاسِ بْنِ يَحْيَى مِنْ رِوَايَةِ الْأَئِمَّةِ الْأَثْبَاتِ عَنْهُمَا بِمِثْلِ هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَاتِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ "Regarding the Prophet ﷺ, it is possible to excuse the narration about Ismail ibn Abi Khalid and Firas ibn Yahya, as they are from the narrations of the trustworthy Imams who have narrated similar narrations. And Allah knows best."
