أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَدِّي حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مُزَاحِمٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ «اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَا شَيْءَ قَبْلَكَ وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَا شَيْءَ بَعْدَكَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ نَاصِيَتُهَا بِيَدِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْغِنَى وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْفَقْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ»

✧ He used to supplicate with these words: “O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, so there is nothing after You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature whose forelock is in Your hand, and I seek refuge in You from sin and laziness, from the punishment of the grave, from the punishment of the Fire, from the trial of wealth and the trial of poverty, and I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.”
