فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِرَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ كَرِبٌ أَوْ بَلَاءٌ مِنْ بَلَايَا الدُّنْيَا دَعَا بِهِ يُفَرَّجُ عَنْهُ؟» فَقِيلَ لَهُ بَلَى فَقَالَ دُعَاءُ ذِي النُّونِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

✧ We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ and he said: 'Shall I not inform you of something that, if a distress or a trial from the trials of this world befalls a man among you and he supplicates with it, he is relieved?' It was said to him: 'Yes.' He said: 'The supplication of Dhul-Nun: There is no god but You, glory be to You, indeed I was among the wrongdoers.'
