حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ بَكْرٍ السَّكْسَكِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللَّهِ الْأَعْظَمِ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى؟ الدَّعْوَةُ الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا يُونُسُ حَيْثُ نَادَاهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ الثَّلَاثِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ كَانَتْ لِيُونُسَ خَاصَّةً أَمْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَامَّةً؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَلَا تَسْمَعُ قَوْلَ اللَّهِ ﷻ {وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَكَذَلِكَ نُنْجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ} [الأنبياء 88] وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَيُّمَا مُسْلِمٍ دَعَا بِهَا فِي مَرَضِهِ أَرْبَعِينَ مَرَّةً فَمَاتَ فِي مَرَضِهِ ذَلِكَ أُعْطِيَ أَجْرَ شَهِيدٍ وَإِنْ بَرَأَ بَرَأَ وَقَدْ غُفِرَ لَهُ جَمِيعُ ذُنُوبِهِ»

✧ Shall I guide you to the greatest name of Allah, by which when He is called upon He answers, and when He is asked by it He gives? It is the supplication with which Yunus called when he cried out in the three darknesses: 'There is no god but You, glory be to You, indeed I was among the wrongdoers.' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, was it special to Yunus or general for the believers?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do you not hear the saying of Allah ﷻ: {And We delivered him from distress, and thus do We deliver the believers} [al-Anbiya' 88].' And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Any Muslim who supplicates with it in his illness forty times and then dies in that illness, he is given the reward of a martyr, and if he recovers, he recovers with all his sins forgiven.'
