✧ People’s talk increased, so we set out for Hajj until there remained between us and our release only a few nights, when we were commanded to release the ihram. One of us would set out for Arafah while his private part was dripping with semen. This reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he stood to give a sermon and said: “O people, are you teaching me about Allah? By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of you about Allah and the most reverent of you toward Him. If I could have foreseen in my affair what I did not, I would not have brought a sacrificial animal, and I would have released ihram as they did. Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him should fast three days, and seven when he returns to his family. Whoever finds a sacrificial animal should slaughter it.” So we used to slaughter a camel on behalf of seven.
