فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ نُجَيْدٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ ثنا هِشَامٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ
أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي بِالْبَقِيعِ فِي رَمَضَانَ إِذْ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَحْتَجِمُ فَقَالَ «أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ» فَهَذِهِ الْأَسَانِيدُ الْمُبَيَّنُ فِيهَا سَمَاعُ الرُّوَاةِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ نَاقِلُوهَا وَالثِّقَاتُ الْأَثْبَاتُ لَا تُعَلَّلُ بِخِلَافٍ يَكُونُ فِيهِ بَيْنَ الْمَجْرُوحِينَ عَلَى أَبِي قِلَابَةَ وَغَيْرِهِ وَعِنْدَ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ فِيهِ إِسْنَادٌ آخَرُ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ

✧ He informed him; he said: While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking in al-Baqi' during Ramadan, he saw a man being cupped and said, “The cupper and the one cupped have broken their fast.” These chains, in which the hearing of the narrators who transmitted them is clarified and who are trustworthy and precise, are not to be deemed defective because of a disagreement among those who are criticized concerning Abu Qilabah or others. And according to Yahya b. Abi Kathir, there is another chain that is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs.
