  • Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥākim

machine translationAuthentic (ṣaḥīḥ) according to the condition of the two Shaykhs, though they did not record it.

  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationThis is a hadith whose chain is disputed. If it is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), it is taken to refer to intentional vomiting, and it is as if he ﷺ was fasting a voluntary fast. And he said in another place: "Its chain is inconsistent (muḍṭarib), and no proof can be established by it."
