أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ حَمْدَوَيْهِ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْحَافِظُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ أَخِي بَنِي حَارِثَةَ

أَنَّ جَدَّتَهُ حَدَّثَتْهُ وَهِيَ أُمُّ بُجَيْدٍ وَكَانَتْ زَعَمَتْ أَنَّهَا مِمَّنْ بَايَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ لَيَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِي فَمَا نَجِدُ لَهُ شَيْئًا أُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِي شَيْئًا تُعْطِيَهُ إِيَّاهُ إِلَّا ظِلْفًا مُحْرَقًا فَادْفَعِيهِ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَدِهِ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ

✧ That his grandmother narrated to him, and she was Umm Bujayd, and she claimed that she was among those who gave allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that she said: "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, a poor person stands at my door and we find nothing to give him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her: "If you find nothing to give him except a burnt hoof, then give it to him in his hand." This hadith has a sound chain of narration, but they did not record it.
