أَخْبَرْنَاهُ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ ثنا خُنَيْسُ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ ثنا الْفُرَاتُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ الْجَزَرِيُّ عَنْ مَيْمُونُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
«آخِرُ مَا كَبَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ أَرْبَعًا» وَكَبَّرَ عُمَرُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَرْبَعًا وَكَبَّرَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَلَى عُمَرَ أَرْبَعًا وَكَبَّرَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ أَرْبَعًا وَكَبَّرَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ أَرْبَعًا وَكَبَّرَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَلَى آدَمَ أَرْبَعًا «لَسْتُ مِمَّنْ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ أَنَّ الْفُرَاتَ بْنَ السَّائِبِ لَيْسَ مِنْ شَرْطِ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ وَإِنَّمَا أَخْرَجْتُهُ شَاهِدًا»

✧ “The last time the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said takbir over funerals was four.” And ‘Umar said four takbirs over Abu Bakr, ‘Abdullah b. ‘Umar said four takbirs over ‘Umar, al-Hasan b. ‘Ali said four takbirs over ‘Ali, al-Husayn b. ‘Ali said four takbirs over al-Hasan, and the angels said four takbirs over Adam. “I am not one from whom it is hidden that al-Furat b. al-Sa’ib is not according to the condition of this book; I only included it as a witness.”
