حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «زُرِ الْقُبُورَ تَذَكَّرْ بِهَا الْآخِرَةَ وَاغْسِلِ الْمَوْتَى فَإِنَّ مُعَالَجَةَ جَسَدِهِ مَوْعِظَةٌ بَلِيغَةٌ وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ لَعَلَّ ذَلِكَ أَنْ يُحْزِنَكَ فَإِنَّ الْحَزِينَ فِي ظِلِّ اللَّهِ يَتَعَرَّضُ كُلَّ خَيْرٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “Visit the graves, and thereby remember the Hereafter. Wash the dead, for tending to a body is an eloquent admonition. And pray over funeral processions, perhaps that will make you sorrowful, for the sorrowful one is in the shade of Allah, seeking every good.”
