✧ I was sitting with 'Abd Allah b. Ja'far b. Abi Talib in al-Baqi' when a funeral procession came into view. Ibn Ja'far turned to us and marveled at their slow walking with it. He said, "It is astonishing how people's condition has changed. By Allah, it was nothing but a quick pace. A man would reproach another, saying, 'O servant of Allah, fear Allah!' as if you yourself had been carried at a quick pace, amazed at their slow walking."
