Notes

machine translationQatādah narrates it, and there is disagreement about it from him. Hammām narrated it from Qatādah, from Abū al-Jawzāʾ, from Abū Hurayrah. Al-Qāsim b. al-Faḍl differed from them and narrated it from Qatādah, from Qasāmah b. Zuhayr, from Abū Hurayrah. And God knows best what is correct.

machine translationMuʿādh b. Hishām narrated it from his father, from Qatādah, from Qasāmah b. Zuhayr, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, and al-Qāsim b. al-Faḍl corroborated him in this narration. My father said: This is more likely correct, because Hishām is a better memorizer than Hammām.
