حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْبَجَلِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْمَنْزِلَةُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ فَمَا يَبْلُغُهَا بِعَمَلٍ فَلَا يَزَالُ يَبْتَلِيهِ بِمَا يَكْرَهُ حَتَّى يُبْلِغَهُ ذَلِكَ»

✧ Indeed a man may have a station with Allah that he does not attain through deeds, so He continues to afflict him with what he dislikes until He brings him to that.
