أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّكْسَكِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ وَلَا مَرَّتَيْنِ يَقُولُ «إِذَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ يَعْمَلُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَشَغَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ مَرَضٌ أَوْ سَفَرٌ كُتِبَ لَهُ كَصَالِحٍ مَا كَانَ يَعْمَلُ وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ مُقِيمٌ»

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ, not once or twice, saying: "When a servant is doing a righteous deed and is then hindered from it by illness or travel, it is recorded for him like the righteous deed he used to do while healthy and resident."
