✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood for a very long time leading the people, then bowed, then stood, then bowed, then stood, then bowed. He performed two rak'ahs, in each rak'ah three bowings. He bowed the third, then prostrated. Men fainted that day from how long he stood with them, and buckets of water were poured on them. When he bowed he said 'Allah is greater,' and when he rose he said 'Allah hears the one who praises Him,' until the sun cleared. Then he said: 'The sun and the moon do not eclipse for anyone's death or life, but they are two signs among the signs of Allah by which Allah frightens His servants. If they eclipse, then hasten to prayer.'
