حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ السَّكَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَيُصَلِّي تَيْنِكَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَسْتَقْبِلُ النَّاسَ وَهُمْ جُلُوسٌ فَيَقُولُ «تَصَدَّقُوا تَصَدَّقُوا» فَكَانَ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ يَتَصَدَّقُ النِّسَاءُ بِالْقُرْطِ وَالْخَاتَمِ

Translation

  5. Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would go out on the day of Fitr and pray those two rak’ahs, then say the taslim, then stand and face the people while they were seated, and say: “Give charity, give charity.” The majority of those who gave charity were women, with earrings and rings.
