65. ✧ 'Amr b. Huraith from the Prophet ﷺ

    " صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَرَأَ بِـ إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ، فَلَمَّا أَتَى عَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ قُلْتُ فِي نَفْسِي مَا اللَّيْلُ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ وَالصُّبْحُ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ؟

    ✧ "I prayed behind the Prophet ﷺ, and he recited 'When the sun is wrapped up.' When he reached this verse, 'And by the night when it darkens, and by the dawn when it breathes,' I said to myself: What is 'the night when it darkens and the dawn when it breathes'?"
