✧ Malik b. 'Abd Allah al-Khath'ami passed by while he was in command of the people on a summer expedition in the land of the Romans, and a man was leading his mount. He said to him, "Ride, for I see your mount is strong-backed." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The feet of a servant do not become dusty in the path of Allah except that Allah forbids the Fire to them.'" He said, "So Malik dismounted and the people dismounted and walked, and no day was seen with more people walking than that."
