28. ✧ Abu Layla, from the Prophet ﷺ

    خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ، فَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَدِيٍّ كَاشِفٍ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: غَطِّ فَخِذَكَ يَا مَعْمَرُ، فَإِنَّ الْفَخِذَ مِنَ الْعَوْرَةِ

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and we went out with him. He passed by a man from Banu 'Adi who had uncovered his thigh, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Cover your thigh, O Ma'mar, for the thigh is part of the 'awrah.'

    أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَسَمَ غَنَمًا، فَجَعَلَ لِكُلِّ عَشَرَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ شَاةً

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sheep, giving one ewe for every ten of his companions.
